Back to homeSynmax is a geospatial intelligence company that combines satellite imagery, AI, and machine learning to deliver actionable intelligence for the maritime, energy, and national security sectors. Its platforms provide real-time insights into vessel activity, energy production, infrastructure development, and global commodity flows, enabling organisations to make data-driven decisions in traditionally opaque environments.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Lead feature development throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility studies to design reviews, testing strategy, deployment, post-deployment monitoring, and documentation. Coordinate across distributed international teams, ensuring developers have a clear, unambiguous workflow while keeping stakeholders informed through consistent communication.
  • Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to complex domains and data flows, ensuring features remain self-contained, accelerating development across other areas of the application, and reducing cross-team collisions and dependencies.
  • Architect backend APIs and data flows to maximise performance, with a well-defined separation of responsibilities between backend and frontend systems, keeping client-side code lightweight, performant, and easily extensible.
  • Build a robust and high-performance testing architecture that prioritises development velocity and reliability while incorporating frontend-backend contract validation, accessibility testing, and comprehensive quality assurance practices.
  • Improve coding agents' performance and consistency by defining clear, concise skills and guidelines that agents can reliably follow, resulting in more predictable and consistent outcomes.
  • Introduce agentic workflows into the software development lifecycle to automate complex but repetitive tasks, improving engineering productivity and reducing manual effort.
  • Architect a normalised client-side state management architecture that supports data-heavy application state, including folders, workstations, and multiple subsections. Extend Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to suit complex, WebGL-intensive applications, improving scalability, maintainability, and separation of concerns.
